This year, Atelier Lira Luis, LLC’s submission titled “How To Leverage Social Technologies For A Sustainable Practice” has been reviewed, evaluated, and selected by the American Institute of Architects 2011 National Convention Committee and AIA staff, as part of the National Convention and Design Exposition. “The selection of your proposal is a testament to the quality of the program content and the merits of your contribution”, says Clark Manus, FAIA (2011 AIA President) and Marion L. Fowlkes, FAIA (AIA 2011 National Convention Chair), in an email notifying my selection.
To add unique industry-related perspectives to the strategies for architects I shared, I invited The Chicago Architecture Foundation’s Jennifer Lucente as part of the panel. She presented a case study about her experience on the record-breaking “Around Chicago in 85 Tours”. I also invited Medized’s Megan Morris as part of the panel, where she presented a case study based on her experience involving 3D animation and videos and how it interfaces with the AEC New Media tools.
